A call of artisanal fishermen, tourist entrepreneurs, young people and representatives from different localities of the Aysen Region to join the demonstration for a Chile without + dams did in Coyhaique issuing different organizations to the activity that will take place on Saturday, August 29 in more than 15 cities in much of the national territory. Coordinator in Coyhaique, Alejandro de el Pino, explained that mobilization is related to the opposition that exists not only here in the region but in many parts of Chile to a series of destructive projects which are being developed in our country and of which people are already absolutely against. He explained the basis of the demonstration is to express that don’t want more destructive projects, water back to the communities in its control and its use, and that clean energy is now implemented. The initiative is being convened by the Patagonia Defense Council and national group young Tehuelches along with Codeff and its focus groups in different cities of Chile. So far have joined the day organizations in Santiago (Plaza Baquedano to 11 hrs.), Valparaiso (Plaza Anibal Pinto to 15 hrs.), Talca (Plaza La Loba to 10 hrs.), Curacautin (Plaza Curacautin to 11 hrs.), Concepcion (Plaza Peru at 11: 00 hrs.), Temuco (Plaza Diego Portales at 18 hrs), Valdivia (Mirador El Remo at 11 hrs.), while groups in Coyhaique, Villa O’Higgins, Caleta Tortel, Cochrane, Chile Chico, Villa Cerro Castillo and Bahia Murta will be activated in the Region of Aysen. In the regional capital in particular is calling to the headquarters of the neighborhood Committee El Mirador (at Errazuriz with Laguna del Desierto) at 11 a.m., to start a March passed noon from Bilbao Street towards the pentagonal square where an artistic cultural event, in coordination with the feast of the creation that is organising the Aysen Vicarito for same day will take place close to 2 o’clock in the from the city centre.
